- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Request for quotations are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. F7324321680100 is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in affect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-22. A one-year firm-fixed price for SIRSI Software Maintenance Support from 7:30am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday for the Air Weather Services Technical Library, Asheville, North Carolina is contemplated for the following item: Item 0001- 1 Lump Sum Software Maintenance. Period of performance: 1 Oct 2002 through 30 Sep 2003. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements or submit quotes. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all offers received within 10 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The provision at FAR 52.212-1 - Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial Items is applicable to this solicitation. Offeror shall include with their offers a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3 - Offeror Representation and Certifications ? Commercial Items,52.222-41 Service Contract Act of 1965 as amended, 52.222-42 Statement of Equivalent Rates for Federal Hires (Computer System Analyst I - $23.30/hr) 52.253-1- Computer Generated Forms, 52.232-18 - Availability of Funds, and FAR clause 52.212-5 - Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders ? Commercial Items is applicable and the following clauses in paragraph (b) are checked: 52.222-21 - Prohibition of Segregated Facilities; 52.222-26 - Equal Opportunity; 52.222-35 - Affirmative Action for Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era; 52.222-36 - Affirmative Action for Worker with Disabilities, 52.222-37 - Employment Report on Disable Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era, 52.232-33 - Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer ?
