- APPQERAB-0021-2 Page 2 of 2 DESCRIPTION: The USDA/APHIS Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) (ALB) Division intends to procure a Components to manufacture an ALB Detector Prototype II, Quantity is two (2) each, and develop recording capability for detector one (1) each, To develop software detection software. Assembly and test systems. Installation and delivery shall also be considered and priced with separate contract line item numbers or "CLIN"s. Delivery shall be made within forty-five (45) days after the award. This is a sole source procurement because the software is unique (Proprietary) to Pryor Knowledge Systems. This requirement is for a new technology to detect ALB. Currently equipment is large and difficult to move around. PKS has an algorithm to identify ALB and not other sounds. It cannot supply the system because of the proprietary software and the electronics are high end and not supplied by USDA. Craig R. King, Contracting Officer, USDA/APHIS.
