Description

Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools and transportation, to convert two burners, to high turndown/high eficiency retrofit burners in two seperate Cleaver-Brooks Boilers. Burner #3 located at bldg. 165 and burner #1 located at Bldg. 202, Barc-East at the Beltsville Agriculture Research Facility, in Beltsville, Md. 20705. Contractor shall be factory-trained and certified as a Cleaver-Brooks authorized representative. Contractor shall submit letter of certifications from the burner manufacturer attesting to the Contractor's representative status and to the fact that all work performed as accomplished in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. All work is to be completed within 45 calendar days following receipt of Notice to Proceed. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures, FAR Part 13. The magnitude of the project is between $25,000.00 to $100,000.00. Project is 100% small business and the NAICS Code for this requirement is 23822. The solicitation is scheduled for issuance on or about Aug. 1, 2002. If you are unable to download the solicitation, a written request may be submitted to the Contracting Officer, requesting a hard copy. Fax written request only, with the solicitation number 02-3K47-RW2 to 301-504-5468. There will be a limit to the number of hard copies that are issued. A site visit will be held at Bldg. 165, Barc-East, on Mon. Aug. 19, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. Written quotations by facsimile are acceptable on or before Aug. 30, 2002 at 4:00 p.m. (EST). A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded to the responsible firm who submits a quote considered most advantageous to the Government, considering price and other factors. Anticipated award is Sept. 2002.
