- INTERNATIONAL RESIDENT BANKING ADVISOR The U.S. Department of the Treasury, Office of Technical Assistance is recruiting individuals on a competitive basis to serve as Resident Banking Advisors for the Financial Institutions Policy and Regulation Program (FIPRP). This is an international assignment, and the Resident Advisor would be expected to reside overseas. Positions are available globally with an immediate opening for a problem bank resolution expert to be stationed in Belgrade, Serbia. Significant international travel would be required. QUALIFICATIONS: To receive consideration, candidates must have expertise in the restructuring and/or liquidation of problem banks. Further, candidates must: (1) demonstrate a clear understanding of FIPRP objectives, (2) possess technical expertise and international experience to render assistance to FIPRP resident and intermittent banking advisors on complex projects, (3) have experience in evaluating international programs and advisors for effectiveness and efficiency, (4) be an advocate for change that will ensure the delivery of professional and responsive customer service, (5) be experienced in improving existing international advisory services and developing new ones, and (6) have considerable experience interfacing with high-level officials in ministries of finance, central banks, banking supervision agencies, and similar governmental organizations. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or U.S. resident aliens and must qualify for a Secret security clearance. SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salaries will be negotiated in accordance with program regulations based on demonstrated salary history. Expected compensation currently ranges from $85,000 to $130,000. Overseas benefits are provided as allowed by federal regulations. Successful applications will be subject to a background investigation at the appropriate level.
