Description

NA This project consists of construction of the Upper Flamingo Diversion Channel (Flamingo Detention Basin to El Camino Road), Clark County, Nevada. Work includes construction of approximately 3,250 meters of channel to include rectangular reinforced concret e channel; reinforced box culverts; channel transition structure, 2 lateral confluence, 2 invert access ramps; side drains; aggregate base course/asphalt pavement roads, detour roads, relocation or water, sewer and gas utilities, miscellaneous street impro vements, chain link fence; safety rails and incidentals. Excavation consist of excavation, compacted fill and disposal of excess excavated materials to mandatory disposal sites and filling of existing washes. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED PROCUREMENT, therefor e all responsible sources may submit a bid. The Los Angeles District subcontracting goals are specific percentages of the contractor’s total planned subcontract amount. The goals are as follows: 62% with small business; 10% with small disadvantaged busi ness; 5% with women-owned small business; 3% with Veteran-Owned small business; and 2.5% with hub-zone small business. In addition, all interested contractors are reminded that the successful contractor will be expected to place subcontractors to the maxi mum practicable extend with the small and disadvantaged firms in accordance with the provisions of Public Law 95-507. Please note that there are special instructions pertaining to had delivered bids. These special instructions can be viewed on the Los An geles District Contracting Division website and they will also be available in Section 00100 of the advertised solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 234990, All Other Heavy Construction, Except Dredging and Surfa ce Cleanup Activities, $28.5M average annual gross revenue for the last three (3) fiscal years. Estimated cost range of the project if $10,000,000 to $25,000,000. The solicitation will be made available on or about 29 July 2002. The Government intends t o issue this solicitation and all amendments through the use of the Internet. No additional media (CD ROM’s, Floppy Disks, Faxes, or paper) will be provided unless the Government determines that it is necessary. Contractors may view/download this solicit ation and all amendments from the Internet after the solicitation issuance at the following internet address: http://ebs.spl.usace.army.mil. All bidders are required to check the Los Angeles District Contracting Division website to be notified of any cha nges to this solicitation. Bidders must be registered with the Central Contractor Regist ration (CCR), in order to receive a Government Contract Award.
