Description

THIS SOLICITATION WAS PREVIOUSLY ANNOUNCED UNDER A175002612 WITH SOLICITATION NUMBER N175002612. THIS IS NOT A NEW REQUIREMENT. The purpose of this announcement is to provide the new solicitation number which is Q175002612. The solicitation will be available at www.fedbizops.gov and at http://ideasec.nbc.gov Website on or about July 11, 2002. TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Contractor who require step by step directions on how to access the web site shold send a faxed request to Marvin Newman at 718-338-3560. Estimated price range is $100,000 to $250,000.The NAICS code is 336611. Contractors must register on the website in order to retrieve copies of the solicitation and any possible amendments. Instructions are contained on the website for downloading solicitations and attachments. It is the responsibility of all interested contractors to acknowledge ALL amendments to the solicitation. The work under this contract includes; haul, block, pressure wash bottom, paint bottom. Main engines will be removed and new engines and transmissions installed. New propeller shafts are to be installed and propellers tuned for maximum efficiency. The hull is to be sanded and painted. The cabin shall be sanded and soft spots repaired before repainting. Cabin windows shall be repaired or replaced to prevent water leaking. Windshield wipers will be replaced. Electrical work will include but is not limited to removal of the entire 110 volt a/c system, various repairs to the 24 volt d/c system as well as wiring harnesses for the main engines. Minor welding and cutting is required. The location of the work to be performed is Fire Island National Seashore, 120 Laurel Street, Patchogue, New York 11772.
