Description

NA This Synopsis is for the same project as referenced in the Pre-Solicitation Notice that was published on the Federal Business Opportunities Web Site July 3 2002. The Solicitation number has been changed to DAHA40-02-B-0004 for this project. The Governmen t proposes to procure services for the construction of the project entitled, Repair/Revitalize Interior Building 801, for the Tennessee Air National Guard, Nashville, Tennessee. This project includes the repair and revitalization of an approximate 45,972 Square Feet (SF) of administration space. This includes the following: alter interior walls system; remove and replace the existing doors, laminated glass, windows, and plumbing fixtures. Upgrade the electrical, mechanical, fire protection system, and i nterior finishes. Repair/ Replace existing built-up and single ply roofs with new metal standing seam-roofing system. Repairs to include the removal and replacement of the existing membranes and maintenance include necessary work on system designated to re main to meet current and future needs on the facility roofing system. Demolition of approximate 1500 SF storage and bathrooms, upgrades to entryways, building exterior and landscape is required. The construction of this project will be phased to allow co ntinue operation during construction. All work must be completed without interruption of the operation of the Base Network Control Center and Phone System. Project also includes providing a temporary modular storage building. The estimated magnitude of construction for this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The Invitation For Bid (IFB) Solicitation will be issued no sooner than 15 days after the date this notice appears in this (FedBizOps) publication. Contemplated is the award of one Firm Fixed Price contract from this solicitation. The estimated performance period for this project is three hundred and sixty five days from the award date of the project. The government is utilizing Primavera Expedition Contract Scheduling software, but offerors may propose other scheduling methods. Contractors are required to identify their business size and status and must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award of contract. Applications for the CCR registration da tabase may be obtained online at http://www.ccr2000.com. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 233320, with a small business size standard of $27,500,000. Subcontracting plans are required from Large Businesses. Plans and spe cifications will be available on or about August 6, 2002. A non-refundable certified check or money order, not a company check, made payable to the Treasurer of the U.S. is required for plans and specifications in the amount of one hundred and twenty five ($125.00) dollars. The cashiers check or money order should be sent to the USPFO for TN, 3041 Sidco Drive, Purchasing & Contracting Division, Nashville, TN, 37204-0748, Attention CPT John W. Anders, Contracting Officer. The solicitation will be provided at no cost. Plans and specifications will also be available for review at various plans houses within the state of Tennessee. A Pre Bid Meeting for this project is scheduled for August 20, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST) at the Tennessee A ir National Guard, Base Civil engineer Facility, Downstairs Classroom, Building 810, 240 Knapp Boulevard, Nashville, TN.
