- NA With this announcement, the Chicago District Corps of Engineers issues a Pre-solicitation Notice for its Indiana Stage III Drainage Remediation project at Little Calumet River. The Contractor will be responsible for providing all the necessary facilities, plants, labor, transportation, materials, and equipment to: re-grade, extend, and deepen 2880 LF of an existing interior collector ditch; create a 2400 LF exterior collector ditch; construct a ditch control structure; perform 785 LF exploratory trenching i n order to detect and block drain tiles; construct a lift station (3,000 gpm minimum) along with 740 LF of sewer and appurtenances for flow conveyance over existing levee; place 600 LF of culvert and 110 LF of lined ditch; construct a culvert outlet extens ion; construct a lift station (1,500 gpm minimum); accomplish asphalt paving to existing recreational trail access ramps; construct miscellaneous traffic restraints and access road improvements. All project sites are located in Northwestern Indiana, in th e vicinity of the Little Calumet River, Indiana. The Classification Code for this procurement is North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 234990 and is unrestricted to business size. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to award a firm-fix ed-price contract. The estimated price range for this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The Invitation for Bids will be downloadable from the INTERNET ONLY. The project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Minimum system requirements are a 486 based personal computer, Microsoft Windows 3.1 or greater and 8 MB application RAM. The solicitation will be available on the Internet on or about 29 July 2002. The due date for bids will be on or about 30 August 2002 at 4:00 p.m. local time.
