Description

NA The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District, is soliciting for repair of the Scituate Harbor north and south breakwater by replacing displaced core and cover stones to fill in existing gaps in the breakwater. The repairs shall be performed to r estore the breakwater to the profiles and cross-sections indicated. Repairs will require substantial moving and rehandling of existing stones to obtain the required interlocking placement. Transportation of materials, mobilization of equipment and breakwa ter rehabilitation work may require a combination of land and marine construction methods and equipment. The solicitation shall be available on or about 23 July 2002. The estimated cost of the work is between $1 million and $5 million. Work shall be acc omplished within 270 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Prospective Bidders, subcontractors, and plan rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet at http://www.nae.usace.army.mil. Registration instructions and th e media by which the solicitation will be issued are available at this Internet site. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the New England District. Applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 234990 with a size standard of $28.5 million. This solicitation is unrestricted pursuant to Public Law 100-656, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
