- Description
- The Air Armament Center (AAC) has a requirement to provide Logistic Material Control Activity (LMCA) for the 46th Test Wing, Eglin AFB, FL. Operations to include, but will not be limited to the LMCA chief function, equipment control unit function, material handling unit function, and equipment management accounting system requirements. The contractor shall supply all necessary labor, supervision, equipment, supplies and materials, to support the above requirement. The Government anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed contract that will consist of the Basic Year with Four (4) One Year Options. This is a Trade-Off contract. The award will be made based on Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR Part 15.101. The government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low proposed price. The Proposal closing date of 30 October 01, IS ONLY AN ESTIMATED DATE. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by this agency. This will be a 100% small business set-aside utilizing North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 561499, with a standard of $5 Million. The proposed issue date will be on or about 20 Sep 01. The solicitation will not be distributed in hard copy. Potential offerors may download the solicitation on or about 20 Sep 01 from the following web site: http://www.eps.gov. An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or Contracting officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Matters of a routine or administrative nature concerning this acquisition should not be addressed to the Ombudsman but rather to the Contracting Officer, Contract Specialist, or the Program Manager identified above.
