Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. The Air Armament Center (AAC), Eglin AFB, FL intends to solicit request for proposal/quote, and award a Brand Name Only Firm-Fixed Price contract under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, for the Barber Coleman Direct Digital Control (DDC) system. This requirement is Full and Open competition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 235310. Size Standard of $12,000,000.00. The reference number is FQ7CEC21650100, and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The requirement is for ALL NEW PARTS. No USED OR REFURBISH. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to provide complete and operational direct digital controls to the existing fan powered variable volume (VAV) boxes located in building 11. The contractor shall follow all installation, state, and national electric code requirements during the installation under this contract. The following work shall be performed as a minimum: A. Install new Network 8000 Direct Digital Controls on sixty-eight (68) existing Fan Powered VAV boxes located in the basement, second floor, third floor, penthouse, and one fan coil unit serving the second floor conference room of building 11. These controls shall be tied into the existing Siebe/Barber Coleman Network 8000 controls in the building forming an integrated control system for the AHU?s, water systems and the terminal units. The existing Network 8000 controls were installed approximately 2 years ago and currently control the AHU?s, hot and chiller water pumps and hot water heat exchangers. A(1) Each fan powered VAV box is to have an individual stand alone control unit tied into the central CCM. Each controller to be programmed and all its control points shall be developed on graph screens for building 11?s control system. These control screens shall be loaded into the data base for the building. B. The Barber Coleman controls the system that controls the existing rooftop AHU serving a portion of the penthouse (Rm 411) shall be connected to the building system and will be controlled and monitored through the existing Global Control Module (GCM). C. The contractor will be responsible for all damage to the facility caused during the execution of work. Damage shall be repaired to original condition at the contractor?s expense as approved by the contracting officer. These items are to be delivered FOB Destination to Eglin AFB, Florida.
