Description

Amendment 2 clarifies NIST's technical requirements and extends the proposal delivery date as follows: Clarifies paragraphs 1 and 3 of Attachment I - Specifications for Laser Tracker System, any approach that achieves the required accuracies, will be acceptable. The angular coverage required for roll is 360 degrees and the angular coverage required for pitch and yaw is 180 degrees (360 degrees is preferred). With respect to paragraph 14 of Attachment I - Specifications for Laser Tracker System, NIST uses many different devices on which to mount antennas in the antenna lab. Several antennas may need to be aligned at the same time. The requirement for 6 targets is to give the flexibility needed to align several antennas relative to each other. Proposal Due Date: The new proposal due date is Friday, July 12, 2002, at 3:00 p.m. If you have already sent a proposal and would like to submit a revised proposal, your new proposal shall be marked "Revised Proposal #1." (Please note that since no changes are being made to the NIST specifications, a new proposal is not necessary.)
