Description

Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation, and supervision required to replace the fire alarm system at U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Traverse City, Traverse City, MI. Major items of work shall include the following: Replace existing Fire Alarm System within the Hangar and associated Mechanical Building (pump house); Install new Fire Alarm Control Panel and full Annunciation at the Operations/Communications Office; Install new fire alarm networked control panel within Smith Hall electrical/telecom closet; Install Global Fire Alarm Annunciator to be located at Smith Hall; Terminate and test all fibers; Install fiber optic interface modules within other buildings on base; Upgrade existing fire alarm control panels as required to provide contact closure for remote monitoring over the fiber optic cable network and report alarm and trouble conditions to the Hangar Building fire alarm control panel; Install new 6-strand, multimode, fiber optic cable within half-inch polyethylene inner duct from Garage Building to the Public Works Building, underground through duct bank/manhole system to provide connectivity for Garage fire alarm control panel to the main panel in the Hangar; Install new fire alarm initiating (manual pull stations, smoke detectors, heat detectors, addressable interfaces to sprinkler flow/tamper switches, existing deluge system panels, etc.) and all new indicating devices (horns and strobes) throughout the entire Hangar Building; Remove and properly dispose of all existing abandoned fire alarm system devices, conduit, and wiring upon completion of the project. Period of performance is 90 days after Notice to Proceed. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 235310 (formerly SIC Code 1731). This procurement is open to large and small businesses in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. This procurement is estimated between $100K and $250K. All relevant solicitation documents, including specifications and drawings will be available for download exclusively from the Internet at some unknown time in the near future.
