Description

NA Add/Alter Fuel Cell and Corrosion Control Dock at the 107th ARW, Niagara Falls, NY. Work under this project consists of the contractor providing all labor, materials, equipment, appliances, services, and incidentals necessary for layout, installing, and p erforming the work for Expanding the Fuel Cell/Corrosion Control Building 917 at the 107th Air Refueling Wing, NYANG, Niagara Falls International Airport, Niagara Falls, New York as shown on the Contract Drawings and described in the Specifications. The Wo rk consists of: 1. Selective demolition and new construction associated with the extension of Building 917. 2. Site work adjacent to Building 917 including drainage, bituminous and concrete pavement, and pavement markings. 3. Removal and reinstallation/relocation of the existing 8-leaf motor operated anchored group bi-parting hangar doors; removal of the center set of aperture doors and associated components; and modification to the center set of hangar doors. 4. Removal, modifications, and reinstallation of the existing fall arrest system and installation of a tail line fall arrest system. 5. Modification and installation of Fire Protection, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical equipment and service. The project's schedule and all other aspects of construction of this project will be closely coordinated with the Base Civil Engineer. The anticipated performance period for all work under this project is 365 calendar days after notice to proceed. The is sue date for plans and specifications is scheduled for on or around 18 July 2002 with a bid opening date of on or around 27 August 2002 at 1:30 PM local time. An organized site visit is scheduled for 7 August 2002 at 10:00 AM local time. Bid, performance and payment bonds are required under this solicitation. This solicitation is issued utilizing full and open competition as per the Small Business Competitveness Demonstration Program. Federal Acquisition Regulation Clause 52.219-4, Notice of Price Evalu ation Preference for HUBZone Small Business Concerns applies to this acquisition. The North American Industrial Classification System Code(NAICS) appplicable to this solicitation is 233320, with a small business size standard of $28,500,000. The estimate d dollar magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The specification book and drawings for this project will be issued via CD-ROM, paper copies will not be issued. Interested parties may request a copy of the solicitation package fo r this project through the following means: Submit a certified check, bank draft or money order in the amount of $50.00 made payable to the U.S. Treasury to USPFO-NY, ATTN: MNPF-PC, 330 Old Niskayuna Road, Latham, NY 12110-2224. Uncertified company chec ks will not be accepted and returned without action. This charge is non-refundable. Interested bidders should also submit a memo on company letterhead requesting the plans to include full company name and address, telephone and facsimile numbers, and poi nt of contact with an e-mail address. This request should also be annotated with the firm's business size (small,HUBZone,large, sdb or women owned) and bidding status (prime, subcontractor or material supplier). Funding is not currently available for thi s acquisition and contract award will not be made until appropriated funding is recieved for which payment can be made for contract purposes.
