- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS FOR WRITTEN INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) National Risk Management Laboratory is performing a "market search" in support of services and equipment necessary to acquire, set-up, install, and train Government personnel, as indicated below: Line Item 1: Supercritical Fluid Extraction System (Qty: 1. each) Design specifications: Maximum vessel volume: 2 L (0.5 gal) Maximum pressure: 680 atmospheres (10,000 psi), +/- 2 psi Maximum temperature: 200 C, +/- 0.05 C Installation: Offered price shall include all incidental services to set-up, assemble, and install equipment in accordance with all applicable laws and approvals, as required, to include Specifications for Electrical and Mechanical Equipment equipment listed by either Underwriters Laboratories, the Canadian Standards Association,, or some other third party listing agency approved by the North Carolina Building Code Council. Line Item 2: Phase Monitor System (Qty: 1. each) Design specifications: Sample volume: Maximum 50 ml (.1 gal) Maximum pressure: 680 atmospheres (10,000 psi), +/- 2 psi Maximum temperature: 200 C, +/- 0.05 C Installation: Offered price shall include all incidental services to set-up, assemble, and install equipment in accordance with all applicable laws and approvals, as required, to include Specifications for Electrical and Mechanical Equipment equipment listed by either Underwriters Laboratories, the Canadian Standards Association,, or some other third party listing agency approved by the North Carolina Building Code Council. Line Item 3: Training on Operation of Acquired System Up to 1/2 day, as necessary, to explain and demonstrate how to operate the system on-location to potential users at Research Triangle Park, NC. Delivery Schedule: FOB Destination/Research Triangle Park, NC 6 weeks after award. The successful contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, services, equipment and facilities necessary to complete delivery of these items under a fixed-price contract. The applicable NAICS code is 334516 with a size standard of 500 employees. ANY INTERESTED FIRM should submit a capability statement which demonstrates the firm's ability to perform the the key requirements described above under a fixed-price contract. Standard company brochures will not be considered a sufficient response to this Sources Sought Synopsis. In the capabilities statement, contractors should provide their size status for the above referenced NAICS, (i.e. large, small) and whether or not they are a certified hubzone, 8(a), women-owned, small disadvantaged and/or disabled veteran owned concern. The EPA reserves the right to set this action aside for small businesses. Responses to the above should be submitted to Charles D.
