Description

NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are bei ng requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The SICs are 7014 and 7015. This solicitation serves as the Request for Quotation for rental vehicles in the Fort Lewis Washington area as follows: Item 1: 2 each SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES from 7/22 /02 through 10/11/02; Item 2: 4 each 15 PASSENGER VANS from 7/22/02 through 10/11/02; Item 3: 3 each MIDSIZE SEDANS from 7/22/02 through 10/11/02; Item 4: 4 each MIDSIZE SEDANS from 8/5/02 through 10/2/02; Item 5: 3 each MIDSIZE SEDANS from 8/19/02 through 10/11/02. Vehicles will be picked up at the Seattle Airport. Provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offers-Commercial and FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. If your company/parent company takes par t in the Military Transportation Management Command Agreement with the rental car industry that includes, at no additional cost to the Government, a Collision/Damage Waiver that covers the vehicles rented by the Government employees while traveling, an inc lusion of such a waiver in any quote received for this requirement will be considered when evaluating the best value to the Government. When responding with a quote, include whether or not your quote includes such a waiver. Award will be based on best val ue to the Government. The Government reserves the right to shift rental dates and/or cancel completely 5 days prior to 22 July 02. Offerors need to include a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Comme rcial Items with this offer (Registered in Central Contractor Registration, DUNS number, Cage Code, and TAX ID number). The statement at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions required to implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Offers are due COB 7/12/02.
