Description

NA Correction to previous announcement of 6 Jun 02. Description is changed to read: Contractor will be required to provide all labor, equipment, supplies, materials and supervision necessary to repair concrete aircraft apron and related site, utility, and drainage work at Channel Islands Air National Guard Base, Port Hueneme, California 9 3041 (Ventura County). The existing aircraft parking apron consists of approximately 105,700 square yards of concrete pavement and this base bid project (Project number DJCF002015A) includes the complete removal and replacement of concrete, base and sub-b ase material for approximately 47,500 square yards of the total apron. Option One (Project DJCF002015B) includes the complete removal of concrete, base and sub-base material for approximately 47,500 square yards of the total apron and will tie into the ba se bid project. Option Two (Project number DJCF002015C)includes the complete removal and replacement of concrete, base and sub-base material for approximately 12,200 square yards of the total aparon. The base project and options will consist of 12-inch P CC, new HMA Base and 10 inch cement stabilized sub-base material, new drop storm water drainage manholes and inlets, and reinforced concrete pipe. Option two also consists of a temporary asphalt taxiway that shall be removed at the end of the project. Al l concrete paving contractors must submit catalog cuts or other schematic information on the following equipment that will be used for this project. This includes the following: mobile concrete batch plant, track-driven slipform concrete paver (rolling s creed, rolling tube and rotating drum type pavers are not acceptable), self-propelled curing machine spanning paving lane. In addition, all contractors must list a minimum of three military concrete paving project that the firm has completed of at least 5 0,000 square yards each with contact information and project dates. The estimated construction cost is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. The applicable NAICS is 234110. The completion time for the base bid is 150 calendar days, Option one is 12 5 calendar days and option two is 75 calendar days. Liquidated damages are established at $2500.00 per day plus a one time charge of $700.00. The USPFO for California and the Channel Islands ANG Base is working with MaxView Corporation. The solicitation to include the plans and specifications will be available directly through MaxView's web site (www.maxview.com). There is a charge for obtaini ng any or all of the documents. A pricing schedule for partial orders is available on the web site, however to order the full project set for $250.00 please call toll free: 888-320-3032 ext 205. On the internet, go to www.maxview.com and download the lat est version of MaxView. Next, select MaxPlans and register. After receiving a password by email, sign in. On the main menu, see the Search Assistant by keying in CAin the state box. The database will then show all projects in California registered with MaxView. Use the dowloaded MaxView viewer (MaxReeader) done previously to view the plan sheets - Visa and Mastercard accepted. Bid documents will be available approximately July 1, 2002. A job walk/Pre-bid Conference will be held on 16 July 2002, 1:00 P.M. The bid opening date/time is 2:00 P.M. on 30 July 2002. Be advised that contractors seeking award of Dept of Defense contrac ts must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award.
