- Description
- Project consists of site vegetation removal and piling for FS burning, existing fill removal and either hualing material to a waste area or replacing it at the site with roller compaction, constructing riprap fills at drainage crossings, install geotextile fabric, removing exisisting culverts and either replacing them with new culverts or cleaning and reinstalling them, hauling removed culverts not being reinstalled off forest land, installing new cmps, downdrains, anchors, elbows, and end sections, haul and place stockpiled government furnished crushed aggregate, seed and mulch disturbed earthen fill slopes and waste areas, construct diversion dips, construct riprap aprons, excavate benches at some sites to accommodate riprap apron construction, accomplish pit development and cleanup, and maintain roads with materials haul. See place of performance for project location. Price range is $100,000 to $250,000. Estimated start date is August 15, 2002, with a contract time of 99 calendar days. This project is being funded by the Jobs-in-the-Woods program and thus, competition is legislatively restricted to certain countiesin Washington: Okanogan, Douglas, Chelan, Kittitas, Yakima, Klickitat, Skamania, Clark, Cowlitz, Wahkiakum, Pacific, Lewis, Pierce, Thurston, Grays Harbor, Mason, Jefferson, Clallam, Kitsap, Island, San Juan, King, Snohomish, Skagit, and Whatcom; Oregon: Wasco, Jefferson, Deschutes, Lake, Klamath, Jackson, Josephine, Curry, Coos, Douglas, Lane, Linn, Benton, Lincoln, Washington, Columbia and Clatsop; California: Siskiyou, Shasta, Tehama, Glenn, Lake, Trinity, Humboldt, Del Norte and Mendocino. Due to requirements to protect threatened aquatic and wildlife species, a limited operating season will be required. Unless otherwise agreed to, no work shall be performed on the project between October 15th and July 9th.
