Description
The United States Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) will host the 35th Session of the Codex Committee on Food Hygiene meeting to be held in Orlando, Florida, January 25, 2003 - February 01, 2003. FSIS has a requirement for a Conference Meeting Package that will accommodate approximately 250-325 attendees. Please note that guest room accommodations (approximately 20 rooms on Wednesday, January 22; 20 rooms on Thursday, January 23; 20 rooms on Friday, January 24, 75 rooms on Saturday, January 25; 75 rooms on Sunday, January 26; 100 rooms on Monday, January 27; 100 rooms on Tuesday, January 28; 100 rooms on Wednesday, January 29; 100 rooms on Thursday, January 30; 75 rooms on Friday, January 31; 10 rooms on Saturday, February 01, 2003) will also be needed at the Federal Government per diem rate but will be handled directly by the attendees and not through this requirement. The hotel must have the availability of one general meeting room that will hold approximately 250-325 attendees (including registration area, exhibit area, and break area). Seven breakout rooms are required. The smallest room must accommodate six chairs, workstation and a conference table; the largest room must accommodate up to approximately 35 people. Some of the rooms must have telephone and internet access with international fax or phone line. Space for evening reception is required. Must be able to provide refreshments. The NAICS code is 721110. This is a request for proposal (RFP). Offerors are required to submit a technical and price proposal for evaluation by the Government. Existing product literature may be submitted so long as it provides the information requested. The Contracting Officer will make award to the offeror that provides the best value to the Government. The release date of this RFP will be immediately after this synopsis appears in FedBizOpps. The due date for the proposals will be June 28, 2002, at 3:30pm local time.
