- This is a Notice of Intent to Award a sole source procurement to DriveCam Company for the supplies and services listed herein. DriveCam Company is the only responsible source because it holds the patent for these items and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements: Item #0001, 100 each DriveCam 2 Video Camera, P/N: DC-2000, single lens, 16MB, bracket, power wire; Item #0002, 100 each Hindsight 20/20, P/N: HS-2020, one-time license fee per drive, cam-standalone version; Item #0003, 1 lot Driving Feedback System, P/N: DFS-2000. The item includes support materials: driver training tape, 100 each bumper, 100 each window sticker, 200 each driver booklets, 6 each managers guides; Item #0004, 1 each Manager?s kit, P/N: 7010002. This item includes USB key, Torx key, booklet, and DriveCam operating instructions; Item #0005, 100 each installation charge; Item # 0006, one year warranty; Item #0007: 2 each Download device. This item includes Dell Latitude C840 with 128 MB, 32MB video, 30 GB HDD, spare battery, Windows 2000, SP, 24XCD, three year Dell warranty, NTFS file system. Contractor shall ensure the download device is integrated with equipment provided under CLINs 0001 through 0007; Item #0008: 1 lot Docking station and installation. This item includes enclosure, cables, 1 set of extender boxes (100 foot), USB type, A/B connector cables (no spares). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the government will consider all Expressions of Interest (hereinafter EOI) received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the government not to compe te this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. EOI sent via the U.S. Postal Service should be mailed to the Contracting Office, USMC, Post Office Box 1609, Oceanside, CA 92055. Federal Express should be sent to Contracting Office, Bldg. 22180, Camp Pendleton, CA 92055. All others not sent through the U.S. Postal Service will be considered to be hand carried and direct delivered. Hand carried offers must be delivered to Building 22180, Contracting Office, Camp Pendleton, CA. Direct delivery of EOI is only possible during weekdays, excluding federal holidays, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. EOI may also be submitted via facsimile number (760) 725-8445 or (760) 725- 4346, Attn: Pok-Su Determan. This purchase will be conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date is 01 July 2002.
