- Description
- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Animal Care (AC), located in Riverdale, MD is seeking vendors that can provide a commercially available package solution which would serve as an interface to the APHIS, Oracle relational database - Licenses and Registration Inspection System (LARIS). Any vendor that can satisfy this search must provide technical and/or marketing literature in order to support satisfying the technical requirement of providing a solution that would allow up to130 AC field employees located throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. The product(s) must satisfy the following technical requirements:(1)to use the existing hardware and Agency Standard Software (Lotus Notes 5, Microsoft Office XP, Adobe Acrobat Reader 5, Norton AntiVirus) with a Personal Oracle 8/9i database on a laptop (IBM A30 with 640MB RAM) attached to various portable printers that is replicated weekly by modem with the master Oracle 8/9i database located in Riverdale as part of the solution (2)to use a word processing template which will pull header data for a required inspection form from the local Oracle database while out on a field inspection (3) to allow the employee to consistently complete the other required fields in the template (4)to allow the employee to spell check the template data (5)to allow for digital signatures on the form of both the inspector (may be stored) and the customer (new each time)(6) to allow the employee to print out a copy of the completed form to give a copy to the customer (7) to allow the employee to save the completed form electronically in a format that will allow them to transmit the completed form to a regional office by e-mail and/or (8)to allow all the electronic data to be moved into an existing master Oracle database. In addition to the technical and marketing literature, interested sources must also include the following for evaluation by the Contracting Officer: (1) Company name and address; (2) Company contact Name and telephone number; (3) If available, any available contracting vehicles such as Federal Supply Schedules (FSS), Government Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWAC) or existing Federal Contracts that can satisfy this requirement; (4) Business Status (Large, Small, Small Woman-Owned, Disadvantaged, Veterans Status, etc.); (5) Tax Identification Number (TIN); and (6) Company Capability Statement.
