DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: Server and workstation upgrade for the SCADA System located at Robins AFB, GA Line Item 0001 1/EA $________________ Total Installation and upgrade of the current SCADA System to include server(s) and their associated appurtenances to replace the current SCADA mainframe, two new front end processors and one stand-by front-end processor, workstations with printer, master radio system and all software. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: N/A FOB: Destination APPLICABLE STOCK NUMBER: N/A ANTICIPATED/ESTIMATED AWARD DATE: 21 Jun 01 THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6 AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. PROPOSALS ARE DUE NOT LATER THAN 6 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF THIS NOTICE. FAR CLAUSE 52.212-4, CONTRACT TERMS AND CONDITIONS-COMMERCIAL ITEMS, APPLIES TO THIS ACQUISITION. STATEMENT OF WORK UHHZ 020935 PART 1 - GENERAL 1.01 STATEMENT OF WORK: This is a general overview of the project. Follow additional details shown by the specifications and/or drawings, interpreted in accordance with contract clauses. A. Accomplish Work at Robins AFB, GA. B. Price: Accomplish work shown for the original bid price. This includes special work times for utility outages and repair of damages. The words "at no additional cost to the Government" are implied whether stated or not. C. Provide all labor, material, plant, equipment, supplies, and coordination required to upgrade the SCADA system at Robins AFB. The upgrade includes the following: 1. A new redundant server system 2. A new redundant Front End Processor 3. One hot standby Front End Processor 4. Two new workstations 5. A new color printer 6. A new Master Radio 7. All associated appurtenances necessary to make the system operational. 8. Transfer of the existing programming D. Work shall also include project management, testing, removal of existing equipment, start-up assistance, and support during the twelve-month warranty period. 1.02 HOURS OF WORK: A. Standard work hours for this project are the base normal work hours of 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM local time, Monday through Friday. Work must stop on official Government holidays and work curtailment days, unless specifically approved in advance. B. Alternate Work Hours 1. If the Contractor desires to work another set of standard hours, such as four 10-hour days, submit written request five (5) workdays before the date desired to work the different standard. 2. To work special hours or days such as to continue exterior painting until dark, request verbal approval from the Contracting Officer at least four hours in advance. 3. The Government reserves the right to refuse these requests. However, they will usually be approved unless they negatively affect the base or the using activity. For example, the using activity may have difficulty paying overtime for escorts in controlled areas. In addition, work requiring inspector presence such as placing concrete may not be possible outside normal hours on short notice. Digging outside of normal hours will normally not be approved. C. All references to days mean calendar days unless otherwise noted. PART 2 - PRODUCTS - OMITTED PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.01 COORDINATION: A. The contractor shall avoid conflicts between new mechanical, electrical, architectural, and civil systems. Also avoid conflicts between new work and existing structural or physical aspects or features of the facility. B. Manufacturers' recommendations and/or requirements shall be followed at no additional cost to the Government. 3.02 GOVERNMENT-FURNISHED PROPERTY will not be provided in this project <<<<< END OF SECTION >>>>>
