Description
The Carderock Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Ship Systems Engineering Station, (NSWCCD-SSES), Code 635 is in the process of reviewing the existing U.S. Navy Standard Spill Response Kit. As part of this effort, consideration will be given to revising the kit to include new or improved components to be used in Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) Spill Response and Cleanup. Contractors are request to provide information on their absorbent products and personal protective equipment that may have HAZMAT Spill Response and Cleanup application. Products must be able to handle a wide range of shipboard hazardous materials, and some examples of various HAZMAT found onboard ships are provided below. HAZMAT Spill Response and Cleanup product information shall be submitted no later than 19 July 2002.
