Description
NA Contractor will be required to provide all labor, equipment, supplies, materials, and supervision necessary to repair concrete aircraft apron and related site, utility, and drainage work at Channel Islands Air National Guard Station, Port Hueneme, Californ ia, 93041 (Ventura County). The existing aircraft parking apron consists of approximately 124,060 square yards of concrete pavement and this base bid project, project number DJCF002015A, Repair Aircraft Parking Ramp, includes the complete removal and repl acement of concrete, base and sub-base material for approximately 55,900 square yards of the total apron. Option One, Project Number DJCF002015B, Repair Aircraft Parking Ramp, includes the complete removal of concrete, base, and sub-base material for appr oximately 55,500 square yards of the the total apron and will tie into the base bid project. Option Two, Project Number DJCF002015C, Repair Aircraft Parking Ramp, includes the complete removal and replacement of concrete, base and sub-base material for ap proximately 17,100 square yards of the total apron. The base project and options will consist of new 13 inch PCC, new HMA Base and 10 inch cement stabilized sub-base material, new drop storm water drainage manholes and inlets, and reinforced concrete pipe . Option Two also consists of a temporary asphalt taxiway that shall be removed at the end of the project. All concrete paving contractors must submit catalog cuts or other schematic information on the following equipment that will be used for this proje ct. This includes the following: mobile concrete batch plant, track-driven slipform concrete paver (rolling screed, rolling tube and rotating drum type pavers are not acceptable), self-propelled curing machine spanning paving lane. In addition, all cont ractors must list a minimum of three military concrete paving projects that the firm has completed of at least 50,000 square yards each with contact information and project dates. The estimated construction cost is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. Th e applicable NAICS is 234110. The completion time for the base bid is 270 calendar days, Option One is 270 calendar days and Option Two is 120 calendar days. The solicitation to include the plans and specifications will be available directly through the printing company at www.maxview.com for a non-refundable charge of $200 - Visa and Mastercard accepted. Bid documents will be available approximately July 1, 2002. A Job Walk/Pre-Bid Conference will be held and the date established in the solicitation. A bid opening date will be scheduled on or about July 24, 2002. Be advised that contractors seeking award of Department of Defense contracts must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award.
