- Description
- The United States Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, (SAMHSA), through the Program Support Center, plan to award a firm-fixed price sole source purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures. The purpose of this purchase request is to identify and document readiness of State agencies and service systems that deliver integrate substance abuse and mental health treatment services to persons with co-occurring disorders by securing and using multiple sources of funds. The goal is to identify, examine and assess the organizational, administrative, legal/legislative, financial/funding and functional readiness of State substance abuse and mental health agencies, and their concomitant resources within their State, to organize and finance effective services to persons with co-occurring disorders. This project will focus on provision of services to persons whose disorders impair them functionally, specifically at the level of Quadrants two (2) and three(3) of the paradigm presented in White Paper I. The proposed simplified acquisition is for supplies and services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. The National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Abuse Directors, 808 17th Street, NW Suite 410, Washington, D.C. Interested party may identify their interest and capability to responds to the requirement within 10 days after the date of publication of the notice. No solicitation is available. A determination by the Government not to complete the proposed simplified acquisition based upon response this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purposed of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. The anticipated award date is June 24, 2002.
