- Description
- This is a notice for a requirement whereby the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)/Health Resources and Services Administration(HRSA) intends to contract with a small not-for-profit company, the Citizen Advocacy Center(CAC) on a sole source basis, for medical and health care services. This contract will be procured in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Parts 15 and 6.302-1. An eighteen(18) month contract is planned. This contract is a follow-on of an effort begun in Fiscal Year 2000. The CAC is the only possible source for this effort since it has sole access to proprietary information that is the foundation or basis by which the proposed efforts results will be completed. The CAC has done extensive work establishing and recruiting member boards for the Practitioner Remediation and Enhancement Program(PREP.) The resulting contract will be to provide service to the existing boards of the PREP to improve the capacity of PREP states to conduct effective affordable assessments of licensees who may be candidates for a remediation program and to improve the capabilities of participating PREP boards to manage the educational interventions.
