Description

Description: Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order for a URC-200 transceiver and accessories to General Dynamics Decision Systems, 8220 E. Roosevelt St (Mail Drop R5216), Scottsdale, AZ 85257. This equipment will be used to support ACTS deployments. The 55th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was made because the URC-200 is currently in use and is the only authorized equipment listed on the mobile package unit type code (UTC) which is determined at the Major Command level. The introduction of alternate equipment would cause compatibility issues with existing equipment.
