- This is NOT a pre-solicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5, but Market Research to identify sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, experience, and facilities to meet the requirements for build to print acquisition of Steel Revetment Kits NSN: 5410-00-456-3307. The projected requirements are a maximum of 75 per year for the next five years with best-estimated quantity of 20 ? 25 per year. This requirements summary covers the design criteria for an AF Revetment Kit used to protect USAF equipment. The Revetment, Type B-1, NSN 5450-00-456-3307, is a 16? high x 6?11? wide x 252 lineal feet. It has two courses of 0.0600? (16 gauge) by 2? high panels, followed by four 0.486? (18 gauge) x 3 feet high courses and contains special end cross panels and end brace panels for additional rigidity. The contractor will be responsible for the performance of all First Article Testing. Inspection records of the examinations and tests shall be kept complete and available to the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the established inspections that are deemed necessary to assure that supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. The First Article Test shall consist of erecting two 16 ? foot sections for Type B-1, with one of the two sections an end section, to ensure proper fit. The test Revetment sections shall be filled with sand, course-grained soils, or gravel, and inspected for bulges, splits, or deformation. Participation in this survey may not necessarily result in your company being able to participate in the solicitation due to level of security clearances and amount of foreign participation. This notice does not constitute an invitation for bid or request for proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this survey. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this Market Research. The applicable North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 332312 (500 Employees). Joint ventures or teaming arrangements may be advantageous. Information relative to the Small Business Administration Final Rule concerning waiver of the affiliation rule for small business joint venture and teaming arrangements is contained in this survey.
