- NSN: 2915-00-495-8879NY P/N: 102-1428-04 This modification is to include Note 22. Noun: Housing Assembly, Pump Predominate Material of Manufacture: AMS 4215 Casting Aluminum Alloy. Application: TF39 Engine. Aircraft Engine Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The rights to use the data needed to purchase this part from additional source(s) are not owned by the Government and cannot be purchased, developed, or otherwise obtained. Size/Dimensions: 14.25 inches long x 8.5 inches wide x 9 inches Dia. Form/Fit/Function: Item provides shelter and support mechanism for the multiple shafts, gears and bearings used in the TF39 fuel pump. Destination: FB2039 Delivery: June 2003 Qty: 68 Approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 10 May 2002. Approximate response date of the solicitation will be 17 May 2002. Anticipated award date will be 17 June 2002. Written and electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. No telephone requests. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
