Description

The Forest Service has a need for field and data entry phases of a forest inventory in accordance with Common Stand Examination (CSE, Version 1.4.2, July 2001) protocols utilized for loading the data into the Field Sampled Vegetation database. The project areas are located on the Kaibab National Forest on the North Kaibab Ranger District approximately 40 miles south of Fredonia, Arizona. There are approximately 13,550 sample acres in Item #1, Telephone area, approximately 8,449 sample acres in Item #2, Little West area, and approximately 17,562 sample acres in Item #3, Lower Trail/Billy Sink area. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, transportation, supervision, supplies (except those designated as Government-furnished), and incidentals necessary to conduct stand examinations in accordance with the specifications and provisions contained in RFQ R3-WZ-02-573 and any resultant contract. The project will be advertised as a written quotation using best value to determine award. Solicitation will be available on or about June 24, 2002 with responses due about July 17, 2002. It is anticipated work will begin about July 30, 2002. The project has 208 calendar days of contract time for Item #1, 162 calendar days for Item #2, and 306 calendar days for Item #3. Item #1 is required to be complete prior to work beginning on Items #2 and #3. NAICS code is 115310. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which will be considered.
