Description

NA Project work includes the maintenance dredging of approximately 959,000 cubic yards of material from the entrance channel, turning basin, destroyer slip east, carrier basin, and pier C-2 and the construction dredging of approximately 74,000 cubic yards fro m the destroyer slip west at U.S. Naval Station, Mayport, Florida. All dredged material will be placed in the Jacksonville Harbor Ocean Disposal Area which is located approximately 4.5 miles from the tip of the south jetty of Jacksonville Harbor. Offshor e disposal will require Coast Guard certification of vessels. Work will also include turbidity monitoring and endangered species observer monitoring. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The solicitation will be issued o n or about 3 July 2002 with bids due on or about 20 August 2002. Solicitation will be issued in electronic format only. Offerors will be provided a CD ROM at no cost. Interested offerors must register electronically. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED ACQUISITION, all responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered.
