Description

NA Furnish and Install two (2) each multidirectional magnetic particle inspection machines capable of consistently processing all parts to ASTM E1444, ASME, ASNT and other appropriate NDT industry standard to Anniston Army Depot, Anniston, Alabama. The scope of this work shall be to establish the capabilities, performance, design, and test requirements for the purchase and installation of these machine. Assembly the multidirectional magnetic particle inspection machine, deliver the inspection machine to ANAD , complete the ?turnkey? installation of the multidirectional inspection machine, complete the acceptance testing, provide operation and maintenance training and provide documentation, manual and drawings. The system shall consist of but not limited to th e following items: The magnetic particle inspection machine shall have all standard features found in commercial multidirectional magnetic particle inspection machines such as Magnaflux Model MD3-2060L or equivalent, multidirectional magnification in one m agnetizing cycle without relocating the part of the fixtures, variable current control with easy to read digital display, 6000 amp FWDC/HWDC and 5000 amp AC magnetization minimum, adjustable shot time, auto demagnetization ? reversing step-down DC and deca ying AC, rail mounted, moveable 24? to 30? five turn coil. Additionally, support component list shall consist of but not limited to the following items: Two (2) each solid copper central conductors; two 100 ml centrifuge tubes with 0-1.0 ml in 0.05 increments for fluorescent materials; two (2) calibrated 20 gauss field indicator meter accurate to 0.5 gauss field indicator meter accurate to 0.5 gauss with a scale range of 20-0-20, two (2) Ketos test rings that meet ASTM E1444 requirem ents and two (2) digital blackight meters that includes radiometer/photometer for blacklight and visible light sensors. This is a trade-off procurement and ANAD may pay additionally for an expedited delivery. The estimated delivery time is 6-8 weeks afte r contract award. The test stand shall be installed at Anniston Army Depot, Anniston, Alabama by contractor This solicitation is UNRESTRICTED. North American Industrial Classification System is 334519. Size standard is 500 employees. This solicitation will be issued elect ronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c), therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Estimated issue date is 21 JUN 01. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to ma intain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them pri or to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejections of same. All unrestricted sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered.
