Description
The purpose of this special notice is to provide information to assist in planning and to locate additional sources of product and service by providing advance estimates of future requirements for Repair Services for the Inframetrics LORIS 445L Infrared imaging camera Cooler Detector Assembly, P/N 13000-202 and the Scanner Block Assembly. While the estimates are based on the best information available, the information is subject to modification and is in no way binding on the Government. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP). The INS will issue a formal announcement with specific terms and conditions prior to the release of any RFP for services described in this notice. The following requirements are anticipated: (1) Repair / Rebuild the Inframetrics LORIS 445L Infrared imaging camera Cooler Detector Assembly, P/N 13000-202 and the Scanner Block Assembly; (2) Have the potential for multiple contract awards; (3) Establish past performance and experiences as significant factors in the evaluation of offers; (4) Establish a best value trade-off source selection procedure as the basis for award; (5) Result in award of a firm-fixed price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. Upon formal announcement of a specific requirement, prospective offerors will be required to submit, in writing to the Contracting Officer, all requests for Wage Determinations for the geographic area in which they are proposing to perform the identified service. It is anticipated this potential requirement may result in the issuance of an RFP during the Summer of 2002. Interested parties should consider the information contained in this special notice and assesses their potential to provide the anticipated requirement.
