Description

Eglin AFB, FL, has a requirement to Construct Munitions Test Facility at Eglin AFB, FL. THIS IS A ?TRADE-OFF? (PERFORMANCE PRICE TRADE-OFF) ACQUISITION. Award will be made based upon the ?Best Value? to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. This project includes furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials and performing all operations in connection with Construction of Munitions Test Facility at Eglin AFB, FL. In general, the work consists of the construction of a 3,843 gross square foot building, site demolition, and improvements. In general the work includes structural and architectural systems, interior finishes, and mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment complete in accordance with the plans and specifications. The work is located on Eglin AFB, FL. Proposal due date of 19 JULY 2002 IS ONLY AN ESTIMATED DATE. Estimated dollar range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Performance period is 270 calendar days. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued but the Request for Proposal will be available on the Federal Government?s Electronic Posting System (www.eps.gov). See Note 26.
