- NA The United States Army Corps of Engineers intends to award a firm fixed price contract for construction of wetlands at Milford Lake, near Wakefield, Kansas. All bids from responsible bidders will be considered (full and open competition for all business s izes). Tentative date for issuing invitation for bids is on or about 03 June 2002, with bid opening at 2:00 CST, on 05 July 2002. Work includes, but is not limited to, excavation/moving approximately 66,000 cubic yards of earth to build a 13,400 foot emb ankment, installing 8 stoplog water control structures, placing approximately 23,700 square yards of geotextile/erosion control fabric, and placing approximately 2,285 cubic yards of riprap. A formal pre-proposal site visit will be scheduled and announced when the solicitation is released. Project dollar magnitude is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Specifications and drawings, issued on CD-ROM only, will be available without charge on or about 03 June 2002. Hard copies will not be available. Copies of t he CD-ROM are limited to one per firm.
