- Description
- The Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Manchester and the Federal Prison Camp (FPC) , Manchester have a requirement for two separate Medical Records Assistants one to be located at the FCI and one to be located at the FPC. The purpose is to provide clerical assistance to the Health Services department (FCI/FPC). The work requires experience, good judgement, and tact in communication skills with patients, professionals, and others in the total health care delivery system. Duties such as recording and reporting of patient medical information; relaying of calls requiring immediate attention of the staff; and, scheduling of appointments affects the ability of the clinic to provide good patient care. The work schedule will not exceed 30 hours per week. Hours will be calculated by session; one session is equal to two hours. Service will be provided Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays) between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Planned days off or unplanned sick days should be coordinated through the Contracting Officer Technical Representative. All supplies and equipment the contractor may need will be provided by the institution. The resulting contracts will be Firm-Fixed-Price, Indefinite Delivery, Requirement type contracts. The term of each contract includes a one-year base period from date of award through 12 months, Option period 1 shall be from 13 months through 24 months, Option period 2 period shall be from 25 months through 36 months. The estimated quantities for the base year and each subsequent option period of each contract are 720 sessions. The solicitation will be issued as a Small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561110. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) anticipates posting the solicitation in the government point-of-entry (www.fedbizops.gov) on or about June 20, 2002. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available.
