Description

NA The purpose of this announcement is to inform interested sources that Solicitation DAAE20-00-R-0261 for a Fuel Injection Pump Test Stand (FITS) is hereby cancelled and replaced by Solicitation DAAE20-02-R-0130. The solicitation DAAE20-02-R-0130 requiremen t is for a FITS System consisting of the stand, a chiller, a flow console, and the various accessory kits specified in the Description for Purchase DFP-390-2 that is furnished with the solicitation. The FITS System shall test fuel injection pumps. The ac quisition will be a five-year requirements type contract. The total maximum quantity for the 5 years is 150 units. The Request for Proposal will be issued as a Best Value source selection. The evaluation factors are Technical, Past Performance, and Pric e. As part of this solicitation, the Government is offering existing FITS systems, Bacharach Model A8020, for exchange in accordance with solicitation Clause 252.217-7002, Offering Property for Exchange. These systems are offered on an as-is basis and wi thout warranty. A pre-proposal conference will be held to address questions and to provide offerors an opportunity to view a Bacharach Model A8020 FITS. The conference is scheduled for May 30, 2002, at 9:00 a.m. central standard time and will be held at the Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, Illinois, Building 104, first floor, in the NAMI Conference Room. The estimated issue date is May 23, 2002. Estimated closing date is June 21, 2002. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102 therefore hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing li st. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments that may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
