Description

NA Description of work: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, proposed procurement is to supply liquid oxygen for the Richard B. Russell Dam and Lake to meet 2002 calendar year requirement. Prospective contractors must be capable of supplying approximately 8,000 tons of liquid oxygen. The period of the delivery for calendar year 2002 is estimated to begin not earlier than June 2002 and ending 31 December 2002. The daily liquid oxygen requirement will gradually increase from approximately fif teen (15) tons/day in early spring to a maximum of approximately one hundred twenty-five (125) tons/day in late summer or early fall. The demand then gradually decreases through late fall until the system is shut down in November or December. The peak de mand period will last between three (3) to six (6) weeks. During the peak demand, periodic daily “around the clock” deliveries, seven (7) days per week will be required. The storage facilities consist of two (2) twenty thousand (20,000) gallon storage ta nks. The delivery site will accommodate 20-ton tanker trucks. Set-aside type: This is an unrestricted procurement. All responsible businesses may submit a quote, which if timely received, shall be considered. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 2813 and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 325120, and size standard is 1,000. The anticipated solicitation release date will be issued on or about May 29, 2002, on the Internet at https://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil/.
