Description

NA On behalf of the Office of the Secretary of the Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition, Technology & Logistics)/Interoperability/Systems Engineering and in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, the Defense Contracting Command-W ashington intends to award a contract on a single source basis to the Millennium Data Management (MDM), P. O. Box 5435, Huntsville, AL 35814. MDM is a small, woman-owned business. MDM has been involved with performance based specifications and military and commercial configuration management (CM) and data management (DM) standards (MIL-STD-973, “CM;” MIL-STD-2549, “CM Data Interface;” American National Standards Institute/Electronics Industries Alliance (EIA) Standard 649, “CM;” EIA Standard 836, “Config uration Data Exchange;” and EIA Standard 859, “Commercial Standard for Data Management”). As the Government Electronics and Information Technologies Association (GEIA) co-chair for the development of Electronics Industries Alliance (EIA) Standard 859, MDM will develop EIA Standard 859, conduct quarterly GEIA G-33, Configuration Management/Data Management workshops on EIA Standard 859, and conduct the required analyses of drafts of EIA Standard 859 for the Deputy Director, Systems Engineering. The results of this development will be an Industry/Government Consensus Standard for Data Management, which can be used by commercial and Government users. There is no solicitation document. This notice is not a request for quotes.
