Description

Construct two earthen dikes with water control structures, one ditch plug, two channel outlets and one culvert with specified rock and geotextile fabric; install one vegetated waterway; search for and break drain tile; install microtopographic habitat features and seed disturbed areas as detailed on the plans and specifications for the purpose of restoring wetland conditions and enhancing habitat for a wetland reserve program site in Walworth County, Wisconsin. The work involves approximately 23,000 CY stripping, 63,000 CY earthfill, 23,000 CY excavation, 50 CY rock/gravel, 175 SQ YD geotextile fabric installation, 19,000 Lin Ft tile searching and disabling, installing 3 water control structures, and 13 acres of seeding. Range of cost is $250,000 to $500,000. All responsible bidders can obtain a soliciation through www.fedbizopps.gov. A site showing is scheduled for April 1, 2002 at the USDA Service Center, 225 O'?onnor Drive, Elkhorn, Wisconsin. For direction call that location at (262) 723-3216 x 3.
