- Naval Surface Center, Indian Head has a requirement for CNU-595/E SLAM-ER Container is a reusable controlled breathing, humidity controlled container constructed of extruded aluminum. It is comprised of a cover assembly and base assembly and incorporates an inner shock mitigating system to protect the missile during shipping & handling. The container features a missile restraint system to prevent rotation and longitudinal movement, a complete insensitive munitious sympathetic detonation (IMSD) protection, side fork pockets, Mk 45 Handtruck endlift fittings, hoist/tiedown rings, sealing gasket, records and desiccant holders, foam cushions to protect missile fins, over-the-center tension type latches and stacking provisions. The requirement is for 30 each CNU-595/E SLAM-ER Containers IAW drawing package DL 3552AS100, with three options (Option 1 for anywhere from 1-120 containers, Option 2 for anywhere from 1-110 containers, and Option 3 for anywhere from 1-100 containers). First Article Test is required. Delivery for production units is FOB origin beginning 120 days after production release at rate of 12 per month. First Article Unit shall be delivered FOB destination 120 days after contract award. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business.This solicitation will be available for downloading from our website beginning approximately 17 June 2002. Prior to this date, you will not be able to access this solicitation. When available, copies of this solicitation can only be obtained from the Navsea, Indian Head Internet web page. Use your email read notification feature to confirm the Contract Specialist's receipt of your registration. The government is not responsible for any undelivered e-mail transmissions. It's the requestor's responsibility to periodically check the Navsea, Indian Head Contracts Division website for current status of solicitations and amendments. Once the solicitation has been issued on the internet, the contract specialist will send an e-mail message to the registered requestors informing them that the solicitation is now available for downloading off the internet. Copies of issued solicitations can only be obtained by downloading them from the Navsea, Indian Head Contracts Division website at http:// www.ih.navy.mil/contracts (" copies of solicitations will not be e-mailed, faxed, mailed, or provided in person, these types of requests WILL NOT BE ACKNOWLEDGED"). Note: All offerors will be ineligible for award unless they have registered in DoD's Central Contractor Registration database.
