- Description
- The Dept of Veterans affairs intends to sole source the following requirement for consultant services to C. Wayne Hawkins. The North American Industry Classification System code is 541611 with a Size Standard restriction of 6 million dollars. Extensive experience at the executive level of management. Provide advice and assistance to the Secretary, the Deputy Secretary, Under Secretary for Health, Deputy Under Secretary for Health, VHA Chief of Staff, or VA Chief of Staff, Special Assistant to the Deputy in carrying out their duties and responsibilities related to the VA Health Care System, including but not limited to, a top to bottom review of the Health Care System, identifying and removing barriers to veterans access to care, reviewing service delivery alternatives in order to best meet the needs and preferences of veterans, considering all options for realignment of capital assets linked to those needs, and the impact of such action on VA stakeholders.Provide advice and assistance to the Secretary, the Deputy Secretary, Under Secretary for Health, Deputy Under Secretary for Health, VHA Chief of Staff, VA Chief of Staff, Special Assistant to the Deputy on trouble shooting or special project assignments, where an individual with a health systems and health planning background as well as prior historical knowledge of both the VA system and its stakeholders, but non current VA involvement, would be useful in carrying out the assignment. All assignments under the taskings above would be undertaken under the guidance of, or in close consultation with, the Secretary or the Deputy Secretary, Under Secretary for Health or Deputy Under Secretary for Health or VHA Chief of Staff or VA Chief of Staff or Special Assistant to the Deputy. These services may include organized, analytical assessments, expert opinions or evaluations in support of policy development, decision making, management, or administration. All responses must be received within ten days of this publication. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that the action may be competed. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
