Description

The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, supplies, materials, repair parts, tools and equipment, and shall plan, schedule, coordinate and ensure effective and economical completion of all work and services related to boiler operation and maintenance at the Everett M. Dirksen United States Courthouse, 219 South Dearborn, Chicago, Illinois. The steam plant is located and operated at the Everett M. Dirksen U.S. Courthouse; however, the steam plant provides heat for the following three buildings: Everett M. Dirksen U.S. Courthouse, John C. Kluczynski Federal Building, and the U.S. Post Office Building. All three buildings are located within one block. Potential offerors are encouraged to inspect the site of performance to satisfy them regarding general and local conditions. The contract performance period is for five years, with an estimated start date of November 1, 2002. Specifications will be available on or about May 28, 2002. The solicitation closing date is June 28, 2002 at 4:00p.m. (CST). The solicitation is a total small business set-aside. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 561790; the small business size standard is $6.0 million. This solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available electronically only at the Internet site www.fedbizopps.gov. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). It is the offerors responsibility to monitor the site for release of the solicitation and any related documents. All relevant information relating to the incumbent contract will be found on the cover page of the solicitation.
