Description

NA SUBJECT: 61?NORTH PACIFIC REGION GOVERNOR UPGRADES RFI: REQUEST FOR REVIEW OF DRAFT SOLICITATION BY INDUSTRY DUE: 062802 DESC: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is in the process of preparing a solicitation for 144 hydro turbine governors within 19 powerhouses. The existing mechanical and analog governor control systems will be upgraded to current digital technology. This will be accomplished with a single IDIQ contract (base year plus 4 option years) for the entire Corps Federal Columbia River Power System. Under the authority of FAR 15.201, Exchanges with Industry before Receipt of Proposals, the Corps is soliciting inf ormation in regards to our Draft Request For Proposal (RFP) to include: the proposed contract type; the feasibility of the requirement, including performance requirements, statements of work, and data requirements; the suitability of the proposal instruct ions and evaluation criteria, including the approach for assessing past performance information; the availability of reference documents; and any other industry concerns or questions. Solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis; open to both Larg e and Small businesses. The draft RFP will be issued on or about 3 June 2002. Responses due 28 June 2002.
