Description

The Naval Air Systems Command has a requirement to procure approximately seven (7) Phase II APG 73 Radar UpGrade kits for with an option for six (6) additional kits or such other quantities as may be authorized and approved by Congress. The Government intends to issue a firm fixed price order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00383-01-G-100A with Raytheon Company, P. O. Box 92426, Los Angeles, CA 90009 pursuant to Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source. Raytheon Company is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the AN/APG-73 radar and, as such, is the only known source with the requisite technical knowledge, engineering expertise, facilities, tooling and special test equipment necessary to produce the kits in the timeframe required to support fleet needs. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. Inquiries regarding the availability of subcontracting opportunities should be forwarded directly to Raytheon Company.
