SPECIAL NOTICES OFFICE ADDRESS: AAC/WMG 102 West D Ave, Eglin AFB, FL 32542-6807 SUBJECT: FUZE ROADMAP CONFERENCE DESC: This is a Request for Information (RFI) to determine the latest plans and programs including technology challenges and proposed solutions for air-delivered bomb fuzes. Responses to this RFI will be used by the Government to select presentations to be given at the upcoming Fuze Roadmap Conference. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS RFI OR TO OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. The Air Armament Center, Precision Strike System Program Office, Fuze Integrated Product Team is holding a Fuze Roadmap Conference on 19, 20 June 2002. Representatives from Industry (limit, three members per company) are encouraged to attend. At this conference various government organizations will present : Air Force requirements, current and future technology plans, ongoing programs, and inventory status of air-delivered bomb fuzes. In the interest of developing a comprehensive roadmap inputs from industry are desired in the form of presentations. A special session is set aside for one-on-one briefings each approximately 15 minutes in length. Respondents to this RFI who wish to present their technology/information should submit an abstract of their proposed presentation containing the following information: a) current programs, b) future plans, c) technology challenges and solutions, and d) a roadmap. Respondents to this RFI may be requested to provide additional information/details based on their initial submittals. Respondents are encouraged to respond with information not constrained by proprietary data rights. However, if proprietary data is included in your reply, please mark it appropriately. The meetings on 19 and 20 June will be classified up to SECRET-NOFORN. Please submit clearances to AAC/WMS, Fax (850) 882-5618. Security clearances must be received not later than 3:00 pm CDT, 5 June 2002. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only, does not constitute a formal Request for Proposals (RFP), and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. All information contained in this RFI is preliminary, as well as subject to modification, and is in no way binding on the Government. Responses to this notice shall be mailed to the Air Armament Center, Precision Strike Weapons SPO, Contracting Division, AAC/ WMGK, Bldg 11, 102 West D Ave., Suite 300, Eglin Air Force Base, FL 32542-6807, ATTN: Ouida Winters, or sent electronically to ouida.winters@eglin.af.mil. Please provide electronic responses with this subject: RFI for FUZE ROADMAP CONFERENCE. Responses must be received no later than 3 PM CDT on June 5, 2002.
