- Description
- Potential Sources Sought. This sources sought synopsis describes several components that are used in the controllable pitch propeller and thruster systems on board U. S. Coast Guard 225 WLB buoy tenders. These components are being purchased as system stock in support of the installed equipment. The items listed are as follows:?1 ea bow thruster assembly, 460 HP, 323 RPM, fixed propeller, motor driven; 2 ea cap, fairwater, steel, 18 mounting holes, bow thruster; 2 ea liner, seal, propeller, aft, bronze; 2 ea cone, hub; 1 ea sleeve, oil tube; 2 ea seal ring, piston; 2 ea piston rod; 2 ea crank ring, right hand; 2 ea cross head, right hand; 2 ea inspection kit, hub; 1 ea inspection kit, OD box; 2 ea piston, propeller hub; 1 ea hub, valve pin; 2 ea sliding, block, propeller hub. Only Bird Johnson parts are acceptable due to compatibility. Delivery to be negotiated--FOB Destination to the U. S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, Curtis Bay, Baltimore, MD. It is the government's belief that only Bird Johnson, the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) can provide the said components. However, all qualified, responsible potential sources may submit an offer which will be considered. No specifications or drawings are available. Concerns that submit a proposal on this solicitation must fully demonstrate their capabilities to meet the requirements. Detailed data by which to evaluate the potential offeror's capabilities shall be submitted in duplicate with the offer. No cost or pricing data is required. The government does not intend to pay for the information submitted. The following information must be provided to evaluate the acceptability of the offered components: y manufactured for the government or the original equipment manufacturer.
