General Information Document Type: Sources Sought Notice. Solicitation Number: Reference Number FB461020719201. Posted 10 May 2002. NAICS: 334416. Description: 30th Space Wing, Vandenberg Air Force Base, California intends to issue a sole source contract to Marconi Applied Technologies, Inc for two (2) each magnet coils as follows: Coil, magnet. Complete set of magnet coils, includes 1st, 2nd, and 3rd cavity along with the collector magnet. Manufactured by Marconi Applied Technologies. Part number FM3296. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 7 days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the Government's discretion. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
