Description
The Naval Research Laboratory has a requirement for an Integrated Imaging Multi-Spectral Sensor System (IIMSSS), on a sole source basis to Pacific Advanced Technology, Inc. (PAT) of Santa Ynez, CA. The system will provide an integrated system environment for a single user to collect hyper-spectral data cubes from 0.4 micro meters to 14 micro meters. To accomplish this, integration of existing NRL owned IMSS sensors with additional IMSS sensor bands will be necessary. This includes integrating 4 cameras and their lenses into a single data acquisition system to collect simultaneous hyper-spectral data-cubes across the visual, near IR, mid wave IR, and long wave IR. It is essential that software, hardware and firmware for each of the sub-bands all interface and integrate with one another. The Imaging Multi-Spectral Sensor (IMSS) concept is held under US patents, based on commercial work, owned by Pacific Advanced Technology, Inc (PAT) of Santa Ynez, Calif. Hence the only company having this type of sensing device available for procurement is PAT, Inc. The NRL/STO currently owns two sub-pieces of the needed IIMSSS, both produced by PAT. These are the 3-5 micro meter and 8-11 micro meter sub-band IMSS systems, which consist of an IMSS lens and IR camera for these sub-bands. The software, firmware, and hardware to interface with these IMSS lenses are proprietary to PAT. No solicitation will be issued in response to this solicitation. Note 26 applies.
