Description
Computer Sciences Corporation CSC intends to issue via competition, a solicitation to provide commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software and optional hardware. The COTS products will be used to process telephone Call Detail Records and telephone trunk activity. The "Telephone Call Management System" will support Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), Huntsville Alabama, and Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF) in New Orleans for ten months and one (1) option year period. The Period of Performance (POP) shall be 7/08/02 through 4/30/03. The procurement will include the vendor's solution for COTS software and hardware. The vendor's hardware solution shall be bid as an option. Maintenance options and system warranty will be required for the initial POP and option year. The Contractor will evaluate both a bundled and unbundled software / hardware solution. The system must have the ability to capture and analyze network usage costs, provide tools to conduct comprehensive network usage, assist in identifying areas for improvement, support multiple sites, maintain call detailed records for users across the network enterprise, and provide a full SQL capability. Vendor solutions will provide Call Accounting, Directory, Work Order, and Inventory Management, and provide a full suite of standard and Ad-hoc report capabilities. The system will be installed at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), Huntsville Alabama, and remotely support NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF) in New Orleans. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available via e-mail in approximately thirty (30) days from the posted date of this synopsis to the firms that respond to this synopsis. The RFP will include technical documentation (SOW), and all relevant information for proposal preparation.. Interested and responsible parties shall provide sufficient information not later than May 21, 2002, such as company name, point of contact, a brief history of similar telecommunications services, Solicitation Number, phone number, fax number, and e-mail address via e-mail to kaye.h.pettus@msfc.nasa.gov to request a copy of the RFP. Responses received after May 21, 2002 without the required information noted above will be considered non-responsive to this synopsis. The solicitation number must be noted on the request for the RFP. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS ARE "NOT" ACCEPTED IN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this Internet site for the release of any amendments, and clarifying questions and answers at http://procurement.nasa.gov . This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP).
